Boss Day...

Under normal conditions and circumstances I would happily acknowledge this day. It’s a day to show gratitude and appreciation to the person (s) who leads the team, goes beyond the call of duty on behalf of everyone, and is always willing to be there for you.

Well I don’t know any such person. In fact, I strongly dislike my boss. But I did feel a need to commemorate the occasion since I did manage to remember the day. I found it rather difficult to find the most appropriate greeting card. They all said things that I felt didn’t fit her. She’s not a good leader, she doesn’t go beyond the call of duty on my behalf, she isn’t a pleasure to work for, and she’s not the best boss. So I ordered flowers from a vendor we always use to deliver the flowers (didn’t come out of my pocket).

Well, an hour later I cancelled them due to this email from dumb ass.

Background:
She asked me to contact a vendor for our annual holiday tenant event. I called them on Friday gave them the basic info: We expect 300 people and are looking to do a lunch type of deal. The lady was very corporative and emailed me a PDF file with their menu items and prices per person. Because of pas experience I dint want to take the imitative and choose the menu items, since she’ll just come up with her shit. So I placed the print outs in her pending file on her desk. I then get this email attack.

Her:

I do not see a bid for the Holiday event from the above vendor. Please call and have them put together two menu options for bid purposes as e discussed on Friday.

Things Never really change...

I was out ill all last week per my doctor’s order. So this means Dumb Ass was going to actually have to take on the role of multi tasking. Well there were few things that needed to be done for sure: 1. Bank deposits (beginning of every month-tenants are paying rent) 2. She was “suppose” to go to Office Max to return some items because something she needed is only available in store. 3. Late letters to deliquent tenants MUST go out on the 6th of every month (this month it fell on Friday).

You can aSSume that only bank deposits were made because she “didn’t get a chance to do anything elses”. Now let me forget or just flat out not issue out the late letters. Especially when she takes it upon herself to remind me every month (like I don’t have the dates written every month on my calendar).

Anyway, I come in and find this in my inbox this morning:

Please fax a written request for the invoices that HSBC is saying are outstanding to 877-605-4321, reference the Office Max account number on this request. I am unable to detect if there’s a question in this email in regards to me making an attempt to contact Office Max re: our account. I have spoken to someone regarding this issue a week and a half ago. So someone on their end has missed the notes on our account.

I just received in the mail this morning the mailed invoices/statements as per my request from a prior customer service rep who also told me the late charge will be waived. I will call them again today to make sure our account as been updated with the previous conversation notes and the late fee removed.

Better Days Are Ahead

So we just found out that the new owners of our building as of January of this year; has decided to make us (the management team) full time employees under Southern Methodist University (owners). I thought it was the best news of the year.

Why?:
1. I hate the company I work for anyway, and was actively looking for better opportunities.

2. Queen Bitch (my boss) will now have to conform to the commands of the new owner, and can no longer hide her stupidity under her current equally retarded boss.

3. I am trying to get into their grad school, which means as an employee; I can go to school for FREE. (Saves me about $41k for a 16 months program)

The only bad part for my co-workers (building engineers and dumb ass) is they’ve already given my current company 10 plus years of service. Now they are essentially starting over. I am the only rookie on this team, giving my crappy company only 18 months of service.

But cheers to a new beginning! I love change; it’s time for Dumb Ass to get her shit together now.

How Dumb?

I recently made a mistake on two of our deposit slips (the first time all year). The bank caught the error and evidently Corporate called Dumb Ass while I was out of town and told her the situation. I get this email:

Hey Girlie,

I need for you to get a calculator and start running two tapes for the deposits. I have had two calls from corporate regarding two deposits that were deposited with incorrect amounts on the deposit slips in the bank this month. This causes issues with the bank, Corporate and SMU. From here on out total all checks on one tape and then total the amounts listed on the deposit slip on another tape. I will then verify that all amounts are correct before I sign the deposit slip and we make the bank run. This will help to hopefully stop this issue.

I created this blog because I didn't want to taint my other blog with this woman's stupidity and bullshit. The stories you are about to read are unfortunately true only the featured idiot's identity has been change. I want to take this time to thank Ms. Dumb Dumb for giving me the motivation to want to be a better person and want more out of life. I will post a number of events and dumb emails addressed to me from her. I have worked at this “conservative, right wing Bush loving” company for almost a year and a half. I am the only black professional working for my company.

I was first introduced to this company by working as a receptionist temporarily for about two weeks and noticed in the newspaper they were hiring for my current position. I didn't’ really know nor have that much contact with my future boss, so I assumed she was cool. The woman I was replacing quit because Ms. Dumb Ass was a bitch. I had no idea until about 2 to 3 months later. She’s extremely condescending, and it’s extremely annoying because she’s a fucking retard. She actually thinks she’s better than me, mainly because she is white.

This woman is in her early 40s and I must say she hasn’t accomplished much of anything. After eight years of working for this company, she was crowned the title of property manager. And now she truly believes she’s the shit. But the fact of the matter is her working background doesn’t qualify her for any manager role with any of our competitors in the industry. There are a few accreditations and educational requirements they prefer. So I am not sure why the hell she even has her job; when her background consists of: a high school education and ex warehouse and pet store worker.

Are you asking if I have called these people or are you assuming I have not? It’s very easy to misunderstand or misinterpret a person’s intentions through emails. To answer your question, Neighbors came by yesterday to pickup the coffee equipment. David w/ Cypress called yesterday afternoon to say he was coming in to pick them up. However, he didn’t. I have called Cypress and they paged him to call me today.
